A new boat or personal watercraft, like any quality product, will serve you best when you maintain it at recommended intervals. To assist you in keeping your boat or personal watercraft at its top performance, we provide the following information:
Break-in Period: The recommended break-in period for outboard motors, inboard/outboard motors is the first 20 hours of use. There are three basic procedures you should follow.
Allow engine to warm-up before leaving the dock. This will ensure proper oil pressure and essential lubrication of engine components.
Vary your speed of travel during the break-in period. Do not hold it at one speed for extended periods of time.
After 20 hours of run time, bring it in for service. It is important to change the oil and check the various fluids and pumps at this time. After this first servicing, you can perform servicing at 50 hours or annually.
Regular Servicing: Outboard: Servicing is done on an hourly rate. Please contact us for an estimated amount based on the service requested.
